I reject the notion that code and art exist in separate domains.

I do not accept that randomness is merely chaos.

I believe that algorithms can dance at the edge of order and chaos, revealing truths that will challenge our logic and intuition.

I know that within the rigid structure of code lies the potential for boundless creativity.

I feel that each parameter, each variable, each function is not merely a technical construct but a brush stroke on an infinite canvas.

About Lattices

Lattices are a special arrangement of points in space that follows a regular, repeating pattern. In its simplest form, it's like a grid or framework where points are organized in a predictable way, similar to how atoms are arranged in a crystal or how oranges might be stacked in a grocery display. The beauty of lattices lies in their orderly structure that combines geometric patterns with algebraic properties.

Chris Lo's fascination with lattices began during his work as a senior developer, where he found himself increasingly constrained by business requirements and tight deadlines. "I spent years building what others needed," Chris explains. "Lattices started as my escape to rediscover the joy of coding without external demands."

This collection explores the profound boundary between order and chaos—a core theme in Chris's manifesto. Chris Lo is a senior developer who found his way into generative art as a creative and technical exploration. With half a decade of experience building enterprise scale applications and a Master's degree in Computer Science with a focus on AI algorithms, Chris turned to generative art as a way to express himself beyond the limits of his regular programming routines

"I spent years building what others needed and wanted to create something true to my own vision," Chris says. "Being a senior developer can be draining. Lattices started as my escape to rediscover the joy of coding without business demands or tight deadlines."

Though Lattices is Chris's first formal art project, it's built on his deep technical knowledge. He's spent over a year developing the collection, pouring thousands of hours into perfecting both the algorithms and visual elements.

As someone who's been active in the NFT space since 2021 and part of the Bored Ape Yacht Club community, Chris has seen blockchain art evolve from basic profile pictures to complex generative systems.
